Axis Storage delivers every container we sell. There are no surprise freight bills, no "call for shipping" placeholders, and no third-party invoices. Shipping is included in the price you see on the product page, in your cart, and at checkout.
Where we ship
Free delivery across the contiguous United States. This covers all 48 contiguous US states. Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, and international destinations are quoted separately — contact us at sales@axisconex.com before placing the order.
Handling & transit times
Handling time: 2–3 business days from payment confirmation. This covers depot pull, container inspection, paperwork, and carrier dispatch.
Transit time: 5–7 business days after handoff to the carrier. Cross-country routes (Phoenix to the East Coast) and refrigerated units may add 1–3 days. You receive a dispatched-from-depot notification with a tracking-ready ETA the day the container leaves the yard.
Delivery appointment: The driver calls 24–48 hours before delivery to schedule a delivery window. You must be on site for the appointment to sign the delivery acceptance form.
Delivery site requirements
Containers are delivered on a tilt-bed or flatbed truck. The site must accommodate the equipment:
- Clearance: At least 60 feet of straight-line clearance for a 20ft container, and 100 feet for a 40ft / 40HC container.
- Surface: Firm, flat, level ground. Asphalt, concrete, or compacted gravel are ideal. Soft soil, mud, gravel under 4" deep, and slopes greater than 10° are not acceptable.
- Overhead: No trees, power lines, eaves, awnings, or other obstructions below 16 feet within the approach path.
- Width: At least 12 feet of unobstructed width along the approach.
- Turning radius: Trucks need a minimum 50 ft outside turning radius to maneuver. Tight cul-de-sacs and gated communities may require coordination with property management.
If you are unsure whether your site qualifies, send photos to sales@axisconex.com before ordering and we will confirm in writing.
Failed delivery, redelivery & dry-runs
If the driver arrives and the site does not meet the requirements above, or no one is available to accept delivery, the carrier returns the container to the depot. A dry-run / redelivery fee — passed through at carrier cost, typically $450–$950 depending on distance — applies before a second delivery attempt is scheduled. We will quote the exact amount before charging your card.
Customers are responsible for any permits required by their municipality or HOA. Axis Storage does not file local permits on the buyer's behalf.
Inspection & acceptance
Before the driver leaves, walk the container with them and inspect: floor integrity, door operation, lock-rod condition, weld seams, and any cosmetic damage. Note any concerns in writing on the bill of lading. Signing the delivery acceptance form without notations confirms the container was delivered in the condition described on the product page.
Title transfer
Title passes to the buyer at the moment of delivery acceptance. Risk of loss transfers at the same moment. Bill of sale and any depot-issued documentation are emailed to the address on the order within 1 business day of delivery.
